World Asthma Day 2024
On World Asthma Day 2024, Sensitive Choice is embracing the Global Initiative for Asthma (GINA) theme of ‘asthma education empowers’ by promoting education about good asthma management.
There are over 2.7 million Australians living with asthma, but up to 94% of people with asthma do not use their inhaler properly.
The National Asthma Council Australia is promoting asthma education around the use of inhaler devices with two new how-to videos demonstrating correct inhaler and spacer technique. We have also released a new factsheet about the benefits of using a metered dose inhaler (puffer) with a spacer.
It is important for both adults and children to use a spacer with a metered dose inhaler, as the spacer helps the medicine get to the small airways where it is most needed.
Sensitive Choice is a proud program of the National Asthma Council Australia, and we are committed to helping people live better with asthma and allergies.
