Asthma Action Plans
Written asthma action plans help people with asthma or their carer recognise when their asthma is getting worse and give clear instructions on how to reduce or prevent an asthma attack.
Asthma action plans are developed with your doctor and should be reviewed regularly as asthma can change over time. Keep a copy of your plan at home, school or work and consider sharing a copy or photo of it with family or friends.
Parents should also give a copy of their child’s asthma action plan to their school, pre-school or childcare facility.
Don’t know which plan you need? Talk to your school, pre-school or childcare facility and ask them to provide you with a copy to take to your doctor or print out a colour copy of the required version below.
